Description
Straight out of the woodwork β UNTOUCHED β M35 blue colored Luftwaffe helmet with double decals. The Luftwaffe eagle is the desirable first pattern model often referred to as the 'Droop Tail' or 'Snake Leg' variant, typical for this manufacturer. Both decals are present and show modest wear, the tricolor shield shows significant more combat damages than the eagle. The helmet is complete with its early single band aluminum liner (dated 1937). The liner is complete with a full lenght draw string and partialy chocolate brown Luftwaffe chin strap, that is damaged. Interesting was of course what was under the liner; a unit mark (I can't actually make out what is says but it's a big stamp!). In the rear the shell shows the name of Feldwebel Weber. The helmet is maker marked and size marked on the side: SE66 and has the lot number 3391 in the rear. A similiar example is already known on Brian Ice's database. Beautiful and rare untouched M35 LW helmet!
