Description

A very scarce dirk in superb condition to the short lived 8th VB KLR (Liverpool Scottish) Formed in 1900 they fought in the Boer War and in 1908 became the 10th Territorial Battn The Liverpool Scottish,The mounts are in nickel and the applied overlays in silver. The overall length is 18.5 inches and the blade 12 inches. It appears to be similar to the dirk worn by the second (Thanks Peter) Colonel of the Regiment Col Forbes Gemmill a picture of whom is in the LS Museum Trust. You ever seen another?
