WW1 Era Household Battalion Cap Badge.

WW1 short lived cap badge for the war raise Household Battalion unit. It is in gilding metal but most of its original gilding has gone just leaving faint traces. The Household Battalion was an infantry battalion of the British army formed in September 1916 from the reserves of the Household Cavalry regiments, the 1st and 2nd Life Guards and the Royal Horse Guards. Apart from this badge missing its original gilt finish it comes in very good order. Ref C13
