US Civil War Era, 1840 Pattern Cavalry Sword, Shortened Blade, Clauberg Mfg

Original era manufacture. Shortened blade, now measuring 26.5 inches in length, with an even, dark steel patina finish. Dark mellow patina finish to the three branch guard and pommel cap. No grip covering or wire binding remains. Clearly marked on the reverse ricasso, W.CLAUBERG SOLINGEN.
