This is a Victorian example of this scarce badge. It is a large badge 3.5' X 3.5' in gilt on copper On the four points of the star are the words Queens/ Body/Guard/ for Scotland To the centre the motto Nemo Me Impune Lacessit (No-one touches me with impunity) This is fretted and over a lovely green enamel backplate which is in very good condition.
