Was £45 now £38 In a further effort to economise production the Haversack Mk VII was introduced in early 1941. It eliminated the second closing flap by moving one set of pockets into the inside of the bag and number of metal drain vents to the base was reduced to two. Other changes included the inclusion of a small pocket for the newly designed ant-dim cloth tin that allowed for easier access, the haversack strap was further simplified by eliminating the metal hooks and a small pocket was added near the bottom to hold the whipped cord which held the bag close to the chest during the alert position and was fixed using a new metal, quick release tying disk.
