US Indian War Pattern 1889 Enlisted Forage Cap

Original era manufacture. Tall pattern, midnight blue wool bodied forage cap, with a bound leather visor, adjustable black leather chinstrap, brown leather sweatband, and brown polished cotton lining. A previous owner has added period looking brass numbers and letters with Cavalry insignia. They certainly dress up the hat, making it quite attractive for display.Some small moth nips, nothing terrible, typical for its age, the visor is securely attached to the body.
