The brooch retaining the original long hinged pin and clasp fittings Sold together with companion enamel lapel pin and uniform riband bar both these later with reverse fittings as issued Contained within makers card box of issue. This with makers logo and marks on the inside lid The criteria for award of this decoration was made retrospective to deeds performed at any time since 8 December 1941, including the Second World War campaigns against the Japanese. The medal can also be awarded posthumously Through to circa 1984, 'El-Oro / Jose J. Tupaz.
