WW2 Japanese Army 1939 Dated Enlisted & NCO Shirt

This is the colorless shirt worn underneath the tunic. This one is size medium, made in Showa  14, which is 1939. These were made in two versions: one very lightweight cotton,and this particular one which is made with thicker cotton. This would be a good shirt for the winter campaign in China, but also correct for Iwo Jima which was attacked in February 1945, during a particularly cold month.
