Chinese 1950 Korean War First Winter Hat

Available
$640.00 β€”

Description

This is the rare, first winter, 1950/1951, Korean War Chinese winter hat worn with the padded & quilted uniform. Winter hats issued in the subsequent Winter, 1951/1952, all had a short visor on the front to assist with sunny and bright winter days. This short visor continued on all PLA models until the late 1960s and early 1970s when the PLA winter cap was kelly green cotton with thick, dark brown, faux fur, made in the boxy, ushanka style. Only the first winter hats of 1950/1951 had no visor!
