Anglo - Boer War BMI Bethunes Mounted Infantry Brass Slouch Hat Badge

A large theatre made slouch hat badge. Circa 4.7cms wide and 2.1cms tall. Long tangs to the reverse to accommodate begin worn in a slouch hat. The smaller versions encountered have short thin round loops, synonymous with being worn as a shoulder title, but no doubt they could have been interchangeable. Slight staining, otherwise in very good condition. Not in Owen. The final photo shows this badge in relation to the smaller and more usually encountered shoulder title.
