£32.00

Description

A UK manufactured die struck bi-metal cap badge with two original loops to the reverse. The central device in white metal is a more ornate version of the device borne at the top of the shield of the arms of the School and the circlet bears the school motto 'Never Given In'. Circa 42mm tall and 25mm wide. King's crown to top, pre 1947. A few minor stains otherwise in good condition and scarce. This is another badge in this series to the Lawrence Royal Military School located in India. The School was located in four different locations in India: at Sanawar, Mount Abu, Lovedale and Ghora Ghali. See my item 67364 for the pagri badge worn by the pupils at Sanawar branch (now sold). This appears to be the pattern worn in the peaked cap.See MHS Bulletins Nos 45 (August 1961) pp1-4 & 47 (February 1962) pp68-69, for more information.Comm DaMc (485)
