Description

Large original WW1 image mounted on card, British Red Cross Ambulance funded by the Denis Bayley Fund and presented by the Durham Miners Association, Ambulance No 6. To the side is a Red Cross VAD female driver in uniform. Photo by Bartolle and Son, 268 Caldedonian Road, N. (Newcastle-upon-Tyne). A lot of back staining and foxing on the mount, blank reverse. Image circa 8 inches wide and 6 1/4 inches tall. Mount is circa 11 3/4 inches wide and 9 3/4 inches tall. Some edge damage to mount. Rare. See also my item 68143. Comm FB
