Royal Hampshire Regiment Officers Enamel Silver and Gilt Cap Badge, QEII issue

A very fine looking cap badge of two part construction with two original long silvered loops to the reverse. Red velvet backing to crown with the Hampshire Rose in red enamel to the centre of a Garter Strap and title scroll in blue enamel, all mounted upon a multi-rayed and faceted star. Became Royal in 1946 but this pattern was worn from 1952. In great condition with no damage to enamels. Stunning. Circa 48mm tall. See also my item 62281 for an earlier pattern. Comm SiSa
