Pioneer Corps Large Pattern Brass White Metal Cap Badge

A die struck example in white metal (not plated). Circa 4.7cms tall. Scarce to find in white metal rather than gilding metal. Various theories abound from RPC attached to Armoured Units for wear on the Black Beret, to Scottish TA units, to the unit's police. Formed in 1939.
