In stunning condition, with two original D shaped loops to the reverse. Near mint. Circa 32mm tall. In understand this may also have been worn as a cap badge in this size. Worn circa 1902 to 1949 'Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service officer's silver gilt cap badge'; oval title bearing a King's crown and 'Sub cruce Candida' (Under the White Cross) scroll below, the Dannebrog lettered 'A' for Alexandra to voided centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Gaunt London' and letter 'S' for silver, complete with two original loop fittings. Excellent condition. Churchill & Westlake No 411 refers. Comm SiSa
