A die struck white metal cap badge with original tapering slider to the reverse. In very good condition.K&K list this badge in their 1898 - 1921 chapter. However, Gaylor claims it was issued in 1940s in error with an imperial crown in place of the coronet and was described by an officer of the Regiment as an example of regimental incompetence.K&K Vol 1 No 617 refers.
