US M1892 3040 Krag Bayonet 1894 Dated Blade, 1st Model Scabbard

Original period manufacture. Bright finished blade pommel and guard with a US proof and 1894 date on the ricasso. The blade is bright with some scattered staining along its surface with evidence of an old cleaning. Bright cleaned finish to the guard and pommel. The lock button sticks a bit but the internal spring is still alive, the muzzle ring is slightly bent upwards. The scabbard body is dent free, with a rather splotchy blue finish, the first model hanger is intact but pivots 360 degrees.
