Description

A very early example with the device in cast silver plate and with a flat top Victorian crown, most probably from 1891 to 1901. A example similar in style with the scroll 'Goorkhas' below is known (4GR D21) and this is held in the Gaunt collection in the National Army Museum. However, this particular pattern is not included in the Museum publication below. The device is circa 18mm high and 19mm wide.
