$1250.00

Description

Original era manufacture. Early quality dagger with nickel fittings, browned scabbard and a lightly dented lower fitting ball. August Malsch Steinbach trademark which is quite clear. The blade is clean and bright, no corrosion problems, just some typical runner wear to the surface, clear motto contrast, with lots of original cross grain polish visible. Nickel upper and lower guards, with a group mark on the reverse of the lower guard, Sa (Sachsen). Alloy eagle and enameled SA disc. Very angular brown wood grip, displaying light wear and age, no cracks or chips. Browned, near dent-free steel body retaining most of it's original finish, all fitting screws are present. On the dagger at the time of our purchase is this scarce, three-piece hanger in brown leather with nickel fittings.
