US Civil War Era M1860 Staff Officers Sword

Original era manufacture. Diamond shaped blade with a central ridge on each side. The blade measures 30.5 inches in length, with a decorative floral panel on each side. No corrosion issues, presenting an even steel patina finish, no makers or retailers markings. Ornate cast brass grip with a clam-shell guard which folds down on one side. This moves easily however the lock button no longer holds in the open position. Shagreen wrapped grip with a single strand of twisted brass wire. Dent free plated steel scabbard with brass fittings throughout.
