Worn circa 1850 as worn on the Humel Bonnet, usually with the separate numerals '79' in white metal below. However, numerals no longer present. Two original dark toned lugs, some twisting with service wear, but a scarce early badge. Circa 5cm tall and 4.5cm wide. Would benefit from a light clean otherwise in good condition.
