British Gas Alarm Rattle 1942

World War 2 British Gas Alarm Rattle. The wooden gas rattle was adopted to alert soldiers in the trenches of an impending gas attack. During the war they were also standard equipment of the 'Air Raid Precaution' (ARP). The wooden rattle is nicely maker marked and dated with 'R.C.D. 1942'. Nice original rattle in good used condition.
