Early-WWII M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Double Wire)

This is an original and faintly stamped Vogt Mfg. Corp. WWII headband. It features the 'double wire' buckle variation and the earliest style spring-clips, which dates the headband's production to early-1942. The slightly sweat-stained leather remains quite soft and pliable. This would be an ideal headband for all helmet liners with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and low-pressure liners).
