Sold
$650.00

Description

This is an original mid-WWII major's M1 helmet set. The McCord manufactured front seam fixed loop helmet shell has a heat stamp of 456C, dating its production to February 1943. In addition to the hand-painted major's insignia, the helmet retains its original olive drab factory finish, cork texture, and brass-buckled khaki chinstraps. The MSA manufactured liner's original olive drab factory paint finish is in excellent condition. It features green-painted steel A-washers and a khaki suspension, which date the liner's production from mid-1943 to mid-1944. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original Joseph N. Eisendrath Co. headband and neckband.
