Description

A SWB impressed B301363 issued to 663460 Private Ernest Moody of the Labour Corps. An unmarked silver circlet inscribed 'For King And Empire Services Rendered' bearing crowned 'GRI' Imperial Cypher to voided centre. In very good condition with fully functional and original pin and c clasp (a bit bent but still works ok). Circa 32mm in diameter.663460 Private Ernest Moody of the Labour Corps enlisted 20th August 1914 and served with the RFA as Gunner, number 94200.and was discharged on the 29th November 1918 from the Labour Corps, age not given, on account of sickness. He served overseas in France and Flanders from 6th November 1915 and was entitled to a 1914-15 Trio. Entry from the CD ROM version SWB roll and a copy of his WW1 Medal Index Card (MIC) to be supplied.Approximately 1,150,000 badges were issued to all services, which had to be claimed and then approved.Comm JoPa
