Somerset Light Infantry ( Prince Albert's ) Officer's Right Facing Large Pattern Collar Badge

A die cast bronze right facing collar badge with two original loops to the reverse. Sadly there is a fracture in one of the bugle strings to the top right of the 'A' and the 'P' looks to be detached from the left string, a bit fragile looking here. Otherwise in good condition. This badge is large and contradicts Mr Churchill's theory that such badges were all left facing and therefore more likely to be cap badges. Circa 4cm tall and 3.8cm wide. Churchill No 430 refers.
