German WWII Heer Soldbuch, NCO 1938-1945, Awarded Iron Cross 1st Class

Original era issue. A very detailed, and well-worn Soldbuch issued to Karl Engelbrecht born in 1916. His service included the 1938 Anschluss, Poland, France and Russia from 1941 until the end of the War. For his service he earned both the Austrian and Czech occupation medal, Infantry Assault Badge, Iron Cross 2nd Class, Iron Cross 1st Class and Black Wound Badge. This is certainly one of the most complete books we've ever offered with numerous officially inserted pieces of paper which detail his lengthy and arduous service. As this book was carried on his person during those days of active service, it is truly a 'been there' artifact of WWII. His photo is in the front cover, comes with an English language printed sheet of paper detailing his service with an assortment of units, awards and campaigns.
