WWII M1 Helmet Liner Headband (Early-Mid War)

Sold
$60.00

Description

This is a well-used, original WWII M1 helmet liner headband. The manufacturer's marking has unfortunately faded beyond legibility. The leather has darkened with age, but still remains quite soft and pliable. It is named to an 'Augie Hirth.' The hardware is green painted steel, dating the headband's production from mid-1942 to late-1943. This would be an ideal headband for a helmet liner with either non-painted or green painted steel A-washers.
