Mid-WWII Second Lieutenant's Westinghouse M1 Helmet Liner

Sold
$225.00 —

Description

This original mid-WWII Westinghouse manufactured M1 helmet liner is named to a Second Lieutenant Wald. In addition to the hand-painted markings, the liner retains its original olive drab factory finish. The green-painted steel A-washers date the liner's production from mid-1943 to mid-1944. The khaki suspension is strong and intact. It comes complete with its original headband, neckband, and remnants of a flat-lipped leather liner strap. This liner is a must-have for the collector with an unaccompanied Second Lt.'s helmet shell.
