Description
Very seldom do World War II Japanese bayonets come up for sale that have their original canvas covering on the scabbard. These were seen in China, the Aleutian campaign, as well as in the Pacific war. There are many reasons why the Japanese might have wanted to cover their scabbard. Regardless, very few ever come up for sale. Now is the chance for you to add one to your collection. this bayonet was made at the Kokura Tokyo arsenal. It has a blue blade and a hooked cross guard. It comes with the original rubberized canvas frog that has been with his bayonet since the war. It does come out of the frog as you can see. The short strap that holds the scabbard into the frog is damaged as shown.
