Viet Cong Canteen with Jungle Made Harness

Here's a very interesting Viet Cong canteen made with a harness that was fabricated by hand from at least three pieces of wedding. One of the pieces appears to be a salvaged US G.I. M1 Carbine sling in OD #7. Hundreds of thousands of these carbines were issued to the ARVN. The shoulder strap is from another piece of ChiCom webgear. The buckle is distinctly ChiCom stamped aluminum. The cord that is attached to the screw on cap is consistent with a North Vietnamese Army shoelace, or hammock cord.
