North Vietnamese Army Officer's Waterproof Map Case Made in North Vietnam

This is very hard to find North Vietnamese army officers waterproof mapcase. This one was definitely made up north in the DRV. The material used is the type used to make NVA raincoats. It is black on the inside with a cloth covering on the outside. Also notice that the trim color is slightly different from the body color. The wire buckles are not the same quality as the ChiCom made wire roller buckles. This one appears to have been carried by an NVA officer who apparently suffered some sort of traumatic battle injury, possibly a head wound. There is apparent blood staining on the front and the back of the mapcase.
