North Vietnamese Army Hanoi Hilton Commander

This news photograph is approximately 8 x 10 inches. It depicts the commander of the Hanoi Hilton, the largest POW prison.  He is a senior captain in the north Vietnamese Army. Notice the collar tabs and the very high-quality wool, gabardine tunic, and trousers. Also notice he is wearing a field cap rather than a sun helmet. The cap had the NVA pin back bad In addition, the guard in the background of the photograph is wearing the standard NVA uniform and sneakers.
