North Vietnamese Army Newspaper September 1, 1969 the Day Before Ho Chi Minh Died

This is a scarce four page NVA propaganda newspaper printed in Hanoi on September 1, 1969 just one day before Ho Chi Minh Died. The front page is full of quotes from Ho Chi Minh regarding the liberation of South Vietnam. NVA Political Officers, who were superior to and who paralleled their military counterparts, maintained ideological control over troops with this very newspaper. Through these short newspapers, the unit Political Officer would inform his troops about NVA victories on the battlefield; issues back home regarding such things the abundant production of food, weapons & the sound political decisions of the communist leadership in the north.
