M40 Heer/Waffen-SS no decal steel helmet Q62 1943

Typical late war M40 helmet produced by Quist. This was the last helmet factory to produce M40 pattern helmets untill very late in to the war before switching to the M42 style helmet. The helmet is complete with its liner and draw string. This is a classic no decal example with a 1943 dated liner band. Interesting is wrong size mark on the leather 59 whilst this should be 55 – a classic late war error that is often observed. The split pins remain untouched and straight. The exterior is coated in field grey paint and shows minimal wear. Maker marked in the rear Q62, lotnumber: DN373. Honest, untouched M40 steel helmet that could be used for a Army or Waffen-SS display.
