Description
This is a nice example of the standard Japanese World War II field cap for army enlisted men. This one has yellow wool star on the front and a burlap type lining on the inside. The lining is dated Showa 17 for 1942 and size medium. The sweat band is made of leather and is also marked medium. On the exterior of the cap, you will see 2 loops on each side. These are for attachment of the sunshade, also known as Havelock. This hat appears to be unissued based on condition, and the fact there is no owner's name inside the cap.
