WW2 Japanese Army & Navy Donated Comfort Bag

During World War II, the Japanese public gathered comfort materials, such as cigarettes, sewing kids, medicine, packets, tooth powder, and other hygiene and comfort items to donate to Japanese sailors and soldiers. These were sent from Japan to military units for distribution in various cotton drawstring bags, such as this one. They were called imon-bukuro. Some had bright motifs, including flags, peace, doves, aircraft, tanks, ships, etc. Most were fairly simple in their design like this one.
