Third Reich 3D Photo Book Wien-Die Perle des Reiches (Vienna-Pearl of the Reich) by Dr. Ernst Holzmann-These are fun and fascinating stereoscopic books. This particular one is choice, very clean, and in exceptional condition. The off-white linen cover, with its red, gold and black crest embossed on the front is just stunning. This 128-page book measures 8 x 11 ½'. It has an off-white linen hardcover and was published in München in 1941 by the Culture Office of the city of Wien. There is an introduction by Reichsleiter and Reichsstatthalter (Former leader of the Hitler Youth) Baldur von Schirach. This hardcover is die-cut with five cavities that hold 100 special 3-D stereo photographs and the metal viewer with glass lenses that is set up to view the photographs. The photograph cards each measure 2-3/8 x 5 inches and have a full description of the subject printed on the back. All 100 pictures are available as is the viewer. When seen in the viewer each picture is incredibly three-dimensional, almost as if the scene was being viewed in real life. Choice!
