ChiCom North Vietnamese Army Viet Cong Early Rectangular AK-47 Type 44 Oiler

Neat little EARLY rectangular ChiCom oil and solvent bottle embossed with Chinese characters. As you know the NVA VC used mainly ChiCom made small arms, including the Type 53 Carbine, Type 56 SKS and the Type 56 – AK-47 assault rifles. This bottle was carried in the ChiCom chestpouch. Every solider was issued some kind of oil bottle as weapons maintenance was required in the hot wet humid climate of Viet Nam. When the oil and solvent ran out many weapons rusted.
