North Vietnamese Viet Cong K-44 Ammunition Belt Pouch 15 Rounds

This is a belt pouch which holds 15 rounds of 7.62x54mm ammunition on stripper clips. They were designed to be worn on the belt. Many NVA Milita and VC troops carried one pouch like this on their belt when the K-44 Chestpouch was not issued. This one, like some NVA issue gear, is Warsaw Pact made, possibly Hungarian or Romanian. The Soviets, and other Warsaw Pact Natiosn, sent tens of thousands of Model 1944 Carbines, Model 91/30 rifles and some Model 1938 Carbines to Hanoi via Hai Phong Harbor. Ten rifles were packed in a crate, along with 20 pouches and 10 cleaning kits.
