Description
This is a belt pouch which holds 30 rounds of 7.62x54mm ammunition on stripper clips. They were designed to be worn on the belt. Many NVA Milita and VC troops carried one pouch like this on their belt when the K-44 Chestpouch was not issued. There are many photos of this pouch being worn by the NVA, especially in the North. This one, like some NVA issue gear, is Soviet made. The design comes from WWII. They are marked under the flap with various dates in the 1950s and 1960s. The Soviets sent tens of thousands of Model 1944 Carbines, Model 91/30 rifles and some Model 1938 Carbines to Hanoi via Hai Phong Harbor. Ten rifles were packed in a crate, along with 20 pouches and 10 cleaning kits. I have a few of these pouches, various markings are shown. If you want a particular one let us know when you order.
