Viet Cong North Vietnamese Army Cadre Officer Uniform

Sold
$899.99

Description

This is the standard NVA Officer's khaki Tunic which was dyed black for wear by an NVA Officer serving as Cadre in the Viet Cong. After the 1954 ceasefire, many Viet Minh stayed in the South to raise and train NLF Units. NVA Officer's and NCOs also infiltrated back to the South between 1954 and the end of the War to help raise and train Viet Cong Main Force Units. Because they were military men, they sometimes dyed their uniforms black and wore them in the South amongst the VC who also wore black. This is such a set. As you can see however, the pants have always been black given the white inner waist band and pockets. These trousers are cut like any other pair of NVA trousers. This is the only set like it I have seen.
