North Vietnamese Army Helmet Cover

This is a helmet cover that fits over a steel helmet, sun helmet or evan a bamboo reed helmet. It is made of waterproof cloth and has loops to secure it to the body of the helmet. I have seen only two of these since the 1970s. The material is similar to what is used on the issue rain coat. I suspect this would be a welcome device for those who have to stand in the sun with a steel helmet on. The temperature might stay down a few degrees.
