Description
Every NVA soldier was issued a rice bowl similar to this. They had stamped steel bodies and were covered in porcelain to prolong their wear. The round base was flat at the bottom and had a small hole in it. Through the hole the owner would pass a string so that it could be tied to the outside of the pack for drying after use while on the move or tied to foliage to dry when in camp. These came in various color patterns and were of the same type used since the Korean War. Perfect for then or your Viet Minh collection.
