North Vietnamese Army Viet Cong Cup with Fish

Mugs have been issued to many military forces for hundreds of years. The NVA and VC had them too.   Most are made in the PRC. They are steel which is coated with porcelain, which often chips over time.  The motif on the exterior can be political, military, plain or food related.   They are often, but not always, marked on the bottom by the factory, which can include peace doves.  Rice bowls are made using the same techniques but are marked with swirling colors.
