In an excellent condition a rare Lübeck 700 years jubilee Reichs freedom medal A solid bronze medal weighing 470 grams width +/- 9 cm Frontside: The 'Schiffssiegel' from Lübeck is depicted on the frontside. SIGILLVM.BVRGENSIVM.OELVBEKE, which means something in the order of 'seal citizens Lübeck' which was used in medieval times to proof which city you were from. Backside: 700 Jahre Reichsfreiheit Lübeck. With the mint marking RMM from Lübeck (RMM stands for Russ-Massiv-Messing) since the city was founded in 1226, the medal was made in 1926.
