A beautiful Swiss bayonet (Schmidt-Rubin) M1889/18 with blued scabbard and frog This bayonet is also called the M1889/96 or M1889/99. The rivet on the blade prevented the blade to slide out the scabbard too easily. Bayonet is numbered 84488 which would be the same number as the rifle and only then be provided to the military. The blade is marked with the maker Waffenfabrik Neuhausen and is the third model of this bayonet. The very nice frog is marked with O. Glutz Sattler from Etziken dated 1912 Blade length 29,1 cm Overall length 42 cm These bayonets could be used for the following rifles.
