Swiss Kavallerie Guide Tschako Ord.1883 (Bundes)

In an excellent condition a Swiss army Guide model 1883 shako This federal model (eidgenössische Ordonnanz) 1883 shako has a metal pompon with white horsehair brush (white is for Guide and black for Dragoner) and a eight pointed insiginia with a Swiss cross and number 26, which stands for the Schwadron 26. Two ranking stars The cockard which is on the left side has the swiss cross on a red circle. This stand for federal troops in the rank of either a junior officer (SubalternOffiziere) and enlisted men (Mannschaften). Some marking are made on the inside but unclear. The helmet is covered with black felt and the edges are metal reienforced. Lether chin strap and lining are in perfect condition.
