Description
Original period manufacture. A classic WWII Japanese bayonet, made by the Imperial Arsenal Kokura. Bright finished blade with fullers, hooked guard, bird head pommel and contoured wooden grips. The blade displays patches of cleaned corrosion with some pitting. Cleaned steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, with an operational lock mechanism. Surface corrosion steel finished scabbard showing some light denting on the reverse, no deep pitting. Very sound brown leather frog with a double belt loop and unbroken securing strap, showing typical scuffing to the surface.
